1.1 Collection of personal data

BlooMEDical only collects personal data that 1) has been provided to it explicitly and voluntarily (e.g. when you sign up for the newsletter or when you register for a workshop), 2) has been provided to it in the context of the performance of an agreement (such as the purchase of a product), 3) it has a legitimate interest in collecting, or 4) is necessary to comply with a legal obligation (e.g. in the case of suspected fraud).

BlooMEDical processes the following personal data: company name, contact person, address, telephone number, e-mail address, profession and nationality. With your permission, BlooMEDical also processes images of workshop participants.

In the event of a complaint from a data subject (patient) related to the use of a product supplied by BlooMEDical, medical data will also be collected – in addition to the above-mentioned data – insofar as such data is necessary for the assessment of the complaint. This data is provided to BlooMEDical by the practitioner of the person involved, with that person’s consent.

You can visit the websites of BlooMEDical without giving BlooMEDical any information about your identity. However, there are situations in which information is required from you that can be traced back to your identity, such as your name, address and e-mail address. This data will be used, for example, to correspond with you or to carry out a registration for an event. In these cases, we will ask you to fill in the personal data relevant to that action on a web form provided for that purpose.

We use data relating to your click and usage behaviour to investigate opportunities to further optimise and communicate about our products and services. We will only use any information you make available to us in accordance with the law, and this use will be carried out in a proper and careful manner.

1.2 Processing of personal data

Purpose of processing
BlooMEDical records data as part of our services. If you are asked to provide personal data (as indicated under 1.1.), for example, in the context of submitting an order or another action, this data will be used for the administrative processing of your request. In other words, when you place an order, BlooMEDical uses that personal data to process the order.

When you request information, we use your personal data to provide you with the requested information.

When you register for a workshop, we use your personal data to inform you about the workshop.

If you have a complaint related to a product supplied by BlooMEDical, your personal data will be processed to assess the complaint. This data is stored internally at BlooMEDical in our complaint log and is password protected.

Storage of personal data
The personal data recorded by BlooMEDical is stored in a CRM system, among other things. This system is used in connection with managing customer data and interactions with these customers.

Newsletter
BlooMEDical offers a newsletter to those who are interested. Through this newsletter, you will be informed about news concerning the products and services offered and other related matters. The newsletter will only be provided if you have given your express consent, unless this is not necessary under the privacy laws.

If necessary and desired, you must provide your e-mail address, after which the newsletter will be sent. Every newsletter contains a link by which the interested party can unsubscribe. The newsletter subscriber database is not passed on to third parties. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

Forwarding to third parties
In principle, BlooMEDical does not provide personal data to third parties, unless this is necessary for the provision of services and the implementation of an agreement, such as the engagement of transport companies (DHL, DPD, AVM Koeriers, Delifa Koeriers and so on) and if BlooMEDical is required to do so based on legal obligations.

The personal data that BlooMEDical receives from a practitioner of a data subject (patient) are not provided to the supplier of the relevant product or only in an anonymous form.

Rights of data subjects
You have the right – subject to statutory exceptions – to ask BlooMEDical to inspect and/or rectify and/or delete the personal data and/or to restrict the processing in question.

You also have the right to object to the processing and BlooMEDical shall transfer your data upon request.

If you wish to exercise any of these rights, or if you have any questions or complaints about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at info@bloomedical.com or in writing: BlooMEDical Benelux BV, Neerloopweg 5 A1, 4814 RS Breda, the Netherlands

BlooMEDical shall endeavour to comply with each of the above requests within one month, unless this cannot be required of us, for example, for reasons of complexity.

If the processing of personal data is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw consent at any time.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory body in the Netherlands, namely, the Dutch Data Protection Authority. The contact details of the Dutch Data Protection Authority can be found at the website www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

1.3 Your e-mail address

If you have provided your e-mail address to receive a newsletter, your e-mail address can be used to inform you as a (potential) customer about similar products and services of BlooMEDical that are relevant and interesting to you. This shall be indicated by a clearly visible notice on all forms on the website. If you no longer wish to receive this information, you can unsubscribe at any time by sending an e-mail to marketing@bloomedical.com, contact us in writing: BlooMEDical Benelux BV, Neerloopweg 5 A1, 4814 RS Breda, the Netherlands, or use the link at the bottom of the newsletter.

1.6 Security

The data you provide to BlooMEDical will be stored in a secure environment. When processing personal data, BlooMEDical shall at all times maintain a level of security that, given the state of the art, is sufficient to prevent unauthorised access to, alteration, disclosure or loss of personal data.

1.7 Cookies

When offering electronic services, BlooMEDical.com, almalasers.nl, alma-soprano.nl, www.almafemilift.nl and almabeauty.nl use cookies to optimise the functionality of certain pages of the website. Cookies are small text files that are placed on the visitor’s computer by a web page. This type of cookie stores information such as certain preferences of the visitor. This enables BlooMEDical to serve the user even better during the next visit.

The visitor can decide for himself how cookies must be handled. He can set his browser to allow, not allow or partially allow the use of cookies. In the latter case, it can be specified which websites are permitted to place cookies. On all other websites this will then be prohibited. Most modern browsers offer this option.

Cookies can be deleted from a computer at any time, once again including through the browser. See the full cookie policy in Section 2.

2. The use of cookies on our website (cookie statement)

During a visit to one of BlooMEDical’s websites, namely www.bloomedical.com, www.almalasers.nl, www.alma-soprano.nl, www.almafemilift.nl or www.almabeauty.nl, visitor data is collected and stored. This is done using so-called cookies. Below you will find a brief explanation of exactly what information is collected using cookies and what is done with that information, why we believe this is necessary and via which websites this data is collected. Finally, we provide brief instructions on what you can do if you prefer not to accept any or all cookies.

2.1 What do cookies do?

Cookies are small (text) files that a web page server places on your computer or other electronic device (hereinafter: “computer”) when you visit a website. The fact that a cookie is on your computer enables the web server to recognise your computer. A cookie cannot start programs or spread viruses.

Cookies have a certain validity period from the moment they are placed on a computer. After the validity expires, the cookie is deleted by your browser. For some cookies, the duration of the browser session is the validity period, but there are also cookies that remain valid for a longer period so that they can be read during a subsequent visit to our website. Insofar as we collect personal data from you using cookies, we will process this data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

2.2 Which cookies does BlooMEDical use?

An overview of the cookies used by BlooMEDical is provided below.

2.3 Explanation of cookies

2.3.1 Google Analytics (analytical cookies)

Cookies:
• First-party: __utma, __utmb, __utmc, __utmz

Explanation: Google Analytics is a service of Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA).

Google Analytics is a web analytics service that uses cookies to analyse how visitors use the website. The cookies are used to store visitor information, such as the time of the visit to the website, whether the visitor has visited the site before and from what site the visitor arrived at the website.

Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on the website activities and to provide other services related to the use of the website and the internet. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
On this page, you will find more information about the Google Analytics service. The Google Privacy Policy describes how Google handles personal data when Google’s products and services, including Google Analytics are used.

In addition to rejecting cookies via your browser, you can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on in your browser. This prevents Google Analytics from collecting information about your website visits.

BlooMEDical has concluded a processor agreement with Google Analytics and has chosen to mask the last octet of the IP address. BlooMEDical has turned off ‘data sharing’.

2.3.2. Functional cookies

2.3.4. Social media

Articles and videos you view on our website can be shared or liked on social media using buttons. For the functioning of these buttons, social media cookies from various social media parties are used, namely Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn.

For the cookies that the social media parties place and the possible data that they collect with this, we refer to the statements that these parties provide on their own websites. Please note that these statements may change from time to time. We have no influence over, do not monitor and are not responsible for the actions of these parties. The use of such media is therefore at your own risk.

2.3.5. Unforeseen cookies

Due to the way the internet and websites work, there is a possibility that BlooMEDical will not always have insight into the cookies that are placed via the domains by third parties.

If you encounter any such cookies (which do not fall into any of the above categories), please let us know. Of course, you can also contact the third party directly and ask what cookies they place, the reason for doing so, the cookie’s life span and how they guarantee your privacy.

2.4 Prefer not to allow cookies?

You can set your browser so that no cookies are stored, you can allow or reject any type of cookie or you can specify that all cookies will be deleted when you close your browser. A useful roadmap for managing your cookies can be found on the Consumers’ Association [Consumentenbond] website.

Cookies are placed on every computer you use to visit websites. If you do not want to receive any cookies at all, you must adjust the settings on all the computers you use.

2.5 BlooMEDical cookies policy

If the information processed by means of cookies contains personal data, this personal data shall be processed in accordance with the provisions of Section 1.

Our policy regarding cookies on our websites is always in line with the applicable privacy legislation. We follow all laws and regulations that exist and are still developing in this area.
